HR Advisory Service

Working with a small number of clients, we work as your partner to ensure that you not only comply with legislation, but you have options when faced with challenging situations. We empower you to allow you to take the lad un the process, whether this is through drafting employee correspondence  or support you in meetings with your employees.  We can also hold employee meetings on your behalf. You use the service when and how you need it. You will have a dedicated advisor who will become an extension of your business and will work with you to develop that partnership.  Your advice and support will be tailored to suit both your needs and the culture of your organisation.  Clients have the option of choosing either the retainer or flexible HR Advisory Service, again recognising that every business is different and with it every HR need.

Retainer HR Advisory Service

The retainer service allows clients 10 hours of advice and support each month.  To allow for flexibility  clients  can carry over a maximum of five hours of unused advice and support to the following month or they can purchase extra hours.  This helps our clients to use the service when they need it and we understand there are times when there is a greater requirement for HR support.

Flexible HR Advisory Service

Our flexible service allows clients to pay only for the advice and support they need.

With services, advice and support is provided over the phone, through e-mail and during face to meetings and the level and type of support the client requires in each instance is decided by them.  Advice can be provided in all areas of HR, covering the breadth of challenges, from recruiting staff or dealing with shared parental leave requests through to effectively managing performance, absenteeism or conduct.  Below are some examples of the issues we have supported our clients on:

  • resignation;
  • recruitment;
  • the review and update of employee statements of main terms and conditions;
  • probationary reviews;
  • grievances;
  • TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations);
  • differences between employment legislation in NI, GB and ROI;
  • changes to working patterns;
  • receipt of tribunal papers;
  • dismissal;
  • redundancy;
  • employees with health issues;
  • the review and update of template policies and procedures; and
  • disciplinary matters.

Our advisory service works with supports  a range of organisations, some of which have a dedicated HR person and others who have a HR Manager but at times they require a little external support.
