Pamela is a Director in the Advisory department of BDO Northern Ireland. A qualified accountant, Pamela has had extensive experience in business restructuring, corporate finance and management consultancy, specialising in business and strategic planning and performance improvement. Since joining BDO in 1997, after completing a Masters in Business Administration, Pamela has gained wide experience across both the public and private sectors being involved in a large range of projects.
Pamela has focused on growing entrepreneurial businesses, helping them to maximise their potential and achieve their goals. In the development of corporate strategies and indeed in carrying out performance improvement reviews, Pamela focuses upon the creation of efficiencies in the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, whilst also recognising the importance of considering the organisations capabilities, its financial health and the need for restructuring, its market strategy and most fundamental of all, the aspirations and support of the people behind the business. Pamela has worked with numerous clients, helping each to build its vision for the future, whilst advising as to whether the business has the necessary resources and competencies to deliver its strategies, and whether the necessary systems and controls are in place for restructuring, survival and indeed growth.
Pamela has been involved in numerous strategic and financial reviews for both private and public sector clients, venture capitalists and various banking institutions. She has particular expertise in business planning assignments undertaken on behalf of private sector clients in raising finance from a range of sources including Invest NI, banks, venture capitalists and Business Angels.
