David is a Director in the Advisory Department of BDO Northern Ireland. A qualified Chartered Accountant, David has had extensive experience in business restructuring and corporate finance, specialising in business turnaround, corporate restructuring, due diligence and finance raising.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002 after training with a ‘Big 4’ firm. He is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
David has been involved in a large range of project based business recovery and corporate finance work gaining wide experience in both the public and private sectors. David has particular experience in business turnaround situations and has advised on a large number of local clients in both solvent and insolvent situations.
David has also gained experience in Corporate Banking, having been seconded for nine months to the Ulster Bank Corporate Lending team, based in Belfast.
David’s experience also encompasses economic and financial appraisals, funding applications, company valuations, management buy-outs, due diligence and the acquisition and disposal of a variety of businesses, both locally and nationally.
