She has significant experience in advising businesses who are inviting management teams and employees to participate in share ownership plans which require careful design and valuation approaches to ensure the business objectives and compliance obligations are met.

Jane has participated in a significant number of both vendor and purchaser due diligence and is expert in finding practical solutions that meet both buy and sell side team objectives, when complex employment tax and employment related securities problems arise during mergers and acquisitions.

Jane’s expertise also includes advising businesses whose employees work both sides of the Irish/Northern Irish border and can provide solutions to manage the myriad of tax, residency, and pensions issues that arise. She also advises businesses who send employees offshore on assignment, joining up with global mobility teams around the world to ensure employers and employees meet their tax compliance obligations.

She also advises private clients with complex tax needs particularly around residency and double taxation.

Jane has negotiated settlements and refunds with HMRC in many scenarios and also sits on HMRC’s expatriate forum. She has worked directly with the Irish Finance Department and the ESRI providing detailed analysis and highlighting key issues with respect to cross border workers on the Island of Ireland.

  • CTA Chartered Tax Advisor – Chartered Institute of Taxation
  • Trinity College Dublin – Degree in Business, Economic & Social Studies.
