James Hilland

James joined the Advisory department at BDO NI in June 2025. James arrives with a wealth of experience across financial services, having previously held roles in investment banking, equity research and investment management. James qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2022 becoming a member of the CFA Institute.

Working in investment services granted James extensive experience in managing investment portfolios where he assisted with financial modelling, company research and analysis and engaging with clients.

James previously graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a master’s degree in Quantitative Finance and a bachelor’s, degree in Finance . His degree qualification coupled with his financial services background enables him to provide high quality client engagement and support.
