BDO NI was delighted to celebrate the winners of the annual BDO NI Award in memory of Micéal Murphy
During an event on Thursday 21 November 2024 in the BDO NI offices, the firm brought together Micéal’s parents, Queen’s Business School Professors, past award winners, BDO NI partners, and 2024’s student winners to honour the legacy of Micéal and recognise the exceptional achievements of this year’s winners.

Over the last decade, this prestigious award has empowered many outstanding Queen’s Business School students through mentorship, work placements and professional skills development, setting them on a path to bright futures.
This year’s event highlights, not only the remarkable talent of our winners, but also, the enduring impact of our partnership with Queen’s Business School and the unwavering support of Micéal’s family.
Speaking at the event, Fidelma Murphy, Micéal’s mother said, “It still amazes me, and probably always will, how Micéal excelled and shone so brightly. The fact that BDO and QUB honour Micéal and his achievements with this prize is truly the most special gift to us for Micéal.”
BDO NI extend our heartfelt congratulations to this year’s recipients Rebecca Hilditch, Luke McManus, and Matthew Dawson.
The team also thanks Micéal’s parents Kevin and Fidelma Murphy; Ciaran Connolly, Professor and Deputy Head of Queen’s Business School; Dr Danielle McConville, Head of Department for Accounting of Queen's Business School; Laura Jackson, BDO NI Partner and Head of Audit; and our past award winners who inspire future generations with their success.

This award is just one of the many opportunities and pathways that we offer. You can find out more about our career opportunities here.
