Local accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO Northern Ireland (BDO NI), has signed a three-year contract as an official partner of Ulster Rugby.
With local offices in Belfast city centre and a network of offices across the globe, BDO NI offers a wide portfolio of client-first services across audit, tax and advisory. This marks a significant investment for the firm in the development of talent and the promotion of teamwork, leadership, respect and trust — values shared by both BDO NI and Ulster Rugby. The partnership will see BDO NI become the official floodlight sponsor for the club.
Laura Jackson, BDO NI Partner and newly appointed Head of Audit, said:
“We are delighted to be a partner of Ulster Rugby. At BDO NI we believe that the values that drive success in sports — teamwork, resilience and a commitment to personal growth — are the same values that define success in business. High performance, inclusivity and talent development are key tenets of the BDO way of doing things and this new relationship aligns us more closely.”
Lorraine Nelson, BDO NI Partner and recently appointed Head of Tax, added:
“This sponsorship gives us a unique opportunity to support a sporting organisation that shares our passion for helping individuals reach their full potential. We are truly excited to see the positive impact this partnership will have both on the field, in our firm and in our communities, particularly as we are able to offer our clients, employees and stakeholders a series of unique Ulster Rugby experiences.”
Speaking about the deal, Head of Commercial at Ulster Rugby, Keith Shorten, said:
“It’s great that BDO NI have chosen to sponsor Ulster Rugby, and we are confident that they will benefit from the profile opportunities on offer through the professional and domestic game at our home ground in its centenary year and beyond.
“We’re also looking forward to welcoming the team and their key stakeholders to Kingspan Stadium for a variety of events and activations in the next three years.”
