BDO makes senior appointment in Management Consulting team

In a sign of their ongoing growth, leading Northern Ireland business advisory firm BDO have appointed a new partner who will specialise in organisational development and change management. Michael McDonnell was one of the original team members at BDO, having joined the firm in October 1989 and since then has worked for PA Consulting, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
He has worked with senior teams in public service, private sector and not-for-profit organisations in the UK, Ireland and internationally. At the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales he was Head of Innovation & Development, a role which covered operations in some 140 countries worldwide.
Michael is BDO’s newest partner and his main focus will be in the area of Organisational Development, including organisational design, leadership development, change management, performance improvement, efficiency reviews as well as issues related to governance, fostering innovation and sustainability. He will work closely with fellow partner Angela Reavey and the wider partnership to expand the Management Consulting offering which includes strategic and business planning, evaluations and policy reviews and economic and financial appraisals.
