BDO Centre for Family Business in partnership with Queen’s University ‘Developing a framework of support for Family Business in Northern Ireland’
Date: Thursday 9th February
Time: 6pm
Location: Riddel Hall, Queen’s University, Belfast
Recognising that 75% of all businesses in Northern Ireland are Family Businesses the sector plays a vital role in the success of our economy. Given the enormity of the economic challenges it is, therefore, more important to Northern Ireland than ever for a healthy and growing family business sector, rooted in strong values and with long-term vision, to survive and prosper.
It is in this context that BDO, building upon its reputation and expertise in this area, have developed a formal partnership with Queen’s University Belfast, to further cement and allow a stronger alignment between academia and family business as a whole, and have a number of exciting projects planned for the next 18 to 24 months.
To introduce this key partnership we are hosting an official launch. We are inviting local political, business and economic representatives with an interest in the family business space in addition to family businesses from across Northern Ireland.
This launch will include a number of short presentations, including results of the latest research that we have just carried out across the sector, and an overview of the support the BDO and Queen’s partnership are proposing to deliver for the family business community.
The formal presentations will be preceded by a light buffet.
